Well, this cold snap seems to have caught us all off guard.
After the hill session on the 18th I went for a run ( just 5 miles ) the following night and felt extremely tired. That was warning enough for me that I needed to rest so I took the next three days off and got my wind back.
Thankfully, on Tuesday last, Robin and Stuart were missing so I could go for a nice slow run around the town...it helped me get my legs back under me for the hill session on the Thursday and I found that I was managing a slightly faster climb and, occasionally, a longer wait at the bottom.
We did..
4 x Long Shore Road (on 3.00 mins)
4 x Harbour Tce (on 1.30 mins)
3 x Scalesburn (on whatever I could manage)
I felt much, much better but haven't managed a proper run since then....not very hard-core. It's very cold this evening with freezing fog and snow to boot...not exactly fartlek weather but I'll see what the boys say....definitely running, that's for certain.
